‘Mess Her Up’, is the latest single to be taken from the ARIA award winner’s #1 debut album, LOVE MONSTER, the highest selling Australian Artist album of 2018.
Amy’s debut/breakthrough, #1 ARIA album and Gold certified LOVE MONSTER was recognised in 2018 with four ARIA awards (“Album of the Year”, “Best Female Artist”, “Best Pop Release”, “Best Producer’ [Dann Hume]) and was nominated for another five. Amy’s hit single ‘All Loved Up’ is certified Platinum, while her triple Platinum single ‘I Said Hi’ hit #1 on iTunes, #1 on the Shazam Top 100 AU chart and #1 on the airplay chart, making Amy Shark the highest-charting Australian act since 2016.
Announcing her biggest headline performances to date, Amy has already sold out Margaret Court Arena & Fremantle Arts Centre, announcing another date for Perth Friday May 3 & Melbourne on Friday May 31.
Along with these huge tour dates Amy will be headlining River Sessions 2019 in Mackay.
Following their recent singles ‘Never Ever (feat. Sarah)’ (now certifiedPlatinum), ‘Freakout’ and ‘Million Man’, The Rubens have announced the release of their new single & video for ‘God Forgot’ – lifted from the band’s third album LO LA RU.
Since the release of LO LA RU, ‘God Forgot’ has emerged as a strong fan-favourite. Parallel to the track’s incredibly joyous feel, ‘God Forgot’ explores the feeling of being so down and lost that not even ‘God’ would remember or care about you, until someone snaps you out of it and nurses you back into happiness. To coincide with the release of the brilliant video, directed by Giulia McGauran, the track has been given a new mix from Melbourne-based producer Rob Amoruso (Jakubi). The Rubens will be taking their third album on a huge Australian tour, covering both metro cities and regional towns in November and December, capping off what’s been a remarkable year for the band. Most recently, the five-piece have been busy travelling across Australia and New Zealand supporting megastar P!NK on her 42date arena tour.
As well as supporting P!NK, the band embarked on their own mammoth worldwide headline tour across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA, followed by the release of their mighty third album LO LA RU in June, which debuted at #3 on the ARIA Album Chart. Now they’re back for another huge national run, already selling out dates in Albury and Cairns.
On LO LA RU, The Rubens used the success of single ‘Hoops’ as an opportunity to spread their creative wings, pushing their music into new territory that is exciting for them, and hopefully by extension, their audience as well. From the exuberant party jam ‘Million Man’ that kicks off the album, it’s clear The Rubens are intent on capturing the simple joy of lifelong friends making music together. The laid back, good times carry on into ‘Go On’, an infectious vocal hook and a stripped back beat that’s impossible not to nod your head to, all coated in Sam Margin’s buttery croon. ‘I Know’ is another hooky-as-hell jam, built on the back of a bouncy bass groove. Recent hit ‘Never Ever (feat. Sarah)’ was cowritten with Sarah Aarons, the Australian songwriter best known for penning Zedd and Alessia Cara’s US #1 hit ‘Stay’. ‘Never Ever’ is the first time the band have collaborated with an outsider and the first time Sam has shared lead vocals on a Rubens record. The track reached #1 most played on triple j and has since been added across the board to stations across NOVA, HIT Networks, KIIS & many more.

Alternative indie rock band from Sydney, Australia led by lead singer/guitarist Hannah Joy and her husband, Tim Fitz. Drummer Harry Day fills out the trio. They have released one self-titled EP and an album entitled ‘Lost Friends’, released in Australia on EMI, and Domino Records in the US. They have performed as openers for Ryan Adams, Bloc Party, Cold War Kids and their 2017 tour stops at LouFest , Austin City Limits Fest among others. They also won the Triple J Album of the Year in 2019.
Hailing from Sydney’s sunny Northern Beaches, L D R U – AKA Drew Carmody – turned to music production after suffering a debilitating back injury during his late teens. In his recovery, L D R U spent enough time finely tuning his compositions and ultimately engineered his distinct sound that would eventually go on to captivate his city, his country, and fans from all corners.
This distinct sound, what L D R U describes as “trapical,” bounced through his debut 2013 single “The Tropics” released via Sydney’s Future Classic label and a collaboration with Yahtzel “The Only One” is what caught the attention of Skrillex, A-Track, Diplo and What So Not. Eventually the pair formed the OWSLA duo Carmada and earned themselves a Gold Record (ARIA) for “Maybe”.
Since then L D R U has released official remixes for Flume, Lorde, Jack Ü and Miami Horror. From one record to another, L D R U soon released “Keeping Score” featuring the defined vocals of Paige IV reaching 12 million Spotify streams, high rotation on Triple J, a Double Platinum Accreditation (ARIA) and coming in at a hot #22 on Triple J’s 2015 Hottest 100. The track also received 3 ARIA nominations for Apple Music Song Of The Year, Breakthrough Artist and Best Dance Release and was the highest selling Australian single in 2016. His latest single “To Be Free” has also reached 2.2 million Spotify streams and is not far off a Gold Accreditation (ARIA).
The past few years have seen L D R U tear up stages across major Australian festivals including Splendour In The Grass, Stereosonic, Field Day, Listen Out, Southbound and Falls Arts and Music Festival just to name a few. He as also graced his presence at iconic Aussie tastemaker boutique festivals and numerous headline tours across the Australian continent.
Solo career aside, Carmada’s debut EP Realise peaked #1 on iTunes and lead to North American tours with performances at Ultra Miami, Holy Ship!, HARD Summer, Electric Forest as well as official remixes for the likes of Major Lazer and Charli XCX as well as nods from the likes of Skrillex and Diplo and a #41 finish for Maybe in the triple j Hottest 100.
It’s important to keep a healthy balance between surf and music – but it’s all systems go for young Drew Carmody, with plenty more music, energetic performances and rule bending sets to make 2017 another one for the record books.
The only way to float, STAND ATLANTIC have learned, is to shed the secrets weighing them down. On SKINNY DIPPING, their debut full-length for Hopeless Records, the Sydney, Australia-based pop-rock trio strip down to their souls and hide nothing.
Due out October 26, 2018, the album follows Sidewinder, Stand Atlantic’s 2017 EP that launched singer/guitarist Bonnie Fraser, guitarist David Potter and drummer Jonno Panichi from Aussie locals to one of the most exciting bands in the underground.
The group’s blend of hard-charged rock and soaring pop melodies has earned them a home on international tours with the likes of New Found Glory, Neck Deep and State Champs – and critical accolades like a “Best International Breakthrough Band” nomination at the 2018 Heavy Music Awards and inclusion in Kerrang’s highly coveted Hottest Bands of 2018.
Now, Skinny Dipping is poised to build on that success and take them even further. The unfiltered honesty of the album’s 10 tracks showcases an emotional maturity beyond Stand Atlantic’s collective years, a keen sense of self-awareness and desire to be unconditionally authentic even when – and perhaps especially when – it breaks their hearts.
